Now, I'd like to take a moment to share a bit about my journey and struggles with sleep, energy, and stress. My journey has been one of both academic pursuit and personal discovery.
Before diving into this field, I struggled with my own sleep issues. I found myself caught in a cycle of exhaustion, split shift work, and unable to find restorative
rest despite my knowledge of the physical body, yoga and meditation. My mindset was one of frustration and desperation, longing for a solution to my sleep woes.
But then came the breakthrough, the "aha" moment that changed everything. I realized that true transformation begins with understanding and addressing the root causes of our struggles. I delved deeper into the science of sleep, graduating with a post grad degree in sleep medicine, and explored holistic approaches that
encompassed not only physical health but also mental and emotional well-being.
When I learned about the circadian relationship between my ADHD and my night owl chronotype, I truly began to understand the unique nature of my sleep needs. Learning how my ADHD affected my clock cells and biological imperative for sleep was a game-changer. It made me realize the importance of adjusting my mindset around my own sleep schedule and wind-down routine to one that supports my brain. I
discovered that everyone's sleep needs vary wildly, and embracing this diversity is key to achieving optimal sleep and wellness.
Now, armed with this knowledge and personal experience, I'm passionate about guiding others on their journey to better sleep, increased energy, and reduced stress. I believe that by sharing our stories and supporting each other, we can all achieve greater levels of well-being and vitality.
