Hi friends,
With the release of OpenAI’s new video tool, Sora, it’s becoming almost impossible to tell what’s real anymore. As these tools get even more
advanced we need sleep for our cognition. We need to go forward with a way to filter what’s real from what’s noise and to access intuition and critical thinking that no algorithm can simulate.
On a related note, a lot of what we see on social media is a highlight reel. Perfect lighting, perfect faces, and perfect words. But the human brain doesn’t
thrive on perfection. It thrives on rhythm, imperfection, learning, and repair.
This is your reminder from me that sleep isn’t something to optimize. It’s something to trust. A bad night now and then is normal, not failure. The tighter we grip around “perfect sleep,” the faster it slips away. Rest is a practice in letting go, one of the last truly
human acts.
